When the family and friends of Anna and Ben arrived at the idyllic garden of Ben’s parents house, for their engagement party, they had no idea that not everything was as it seemed. While they were in fact there to support Anna and Ben’s undying love for one another, and to celebrate their upcoming wedding, it would soon be revealed that Anna and Ben would be husband and wife before the night was over! Anna and Ben had successfully planned the most memorable, fun and romantic engagement party of all- their wedding day!

In the presence of  family and friends, Anna and Ben vowed to spend the rest of their lives together, in a garden where many precious memories had already taken place. With the picturesque garden as a back drop, it would have been difficult not to appreciate natures beauty, while witnessing love’s beauty in the form of Anna and Ben’s special day.

Anna and Ben wanted to illustrate just how important the earth is to them, by featuring nature in different aspects of their wedding day. The bridesmaids dresses even bloomed! Inspired by their love of mother nature, all of her creations, the guests enjoyed a plentiful vegan menu showcasing fresh food, much of which was created by those close to them.

Guests were thrilled with the vegan menu, with many emphatically declaring it to be the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Supporting entirely local small businesses, Anna and Ben served Barossa Valley breads, Robinvale dukka, olive oil and balsamic, and Lucia’s artichokes and sundried tomatoes for nibble entrees. Mains comprised Suree’s Thai specially-made vegan curries and noodles, as well as home made salads. Finally, cake whiz and close friend of the bride Shanti Wilby of From the Wild provided a stunning three-tier vegan cake for dessert.

How did the guests manage to fit in all the great food? By dancing the night away of course!
